Question From: Edgar, Nebraska, United States
Q: I have two canaan firs that were planted about 4 months ago after about a month they started getting brown tips on new growths. Is there any way to treat them? they don't seem to be dying they just look kinda bad.
A: Lack of water or too much water would be my guess. To root balls of newly planted trees must be kept moist at all times. Deep watering a couple times a week is key, especially in the heat and drought. If the soil remains sodden they may be drowning. Check those root balls. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
