Question From: J. Brown - OHIO
Q: We have a finch feeder that has had great activity all summer long. At the end of August the finches just stopped feeding there. Is this normal? Is there something we can do to lure them back or will they come back on their own? We love watching and listening to them. We feed them a mixture of finch seed and thistle seed. Is there something we should be adding to this? Thank you.
A:
Bird people tell us this is not unusual. Could be a predator bird or animal near by. Bushes or tree branches nearby may harbor a threat or perceived threat. Moving the feeder for a time may get them feeding again and then move it back. Good Luck and Happy Yardening, Nancy
