Q: How close to a retaining wall should a London Plane tree be planted because of root damage?
A: The "safe" distance will vary depending on soil type, moisture level and drainage. To be safe I say 24 feet. I would check with your city arborist for second opinion. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
