Question From: E. Chiappetta - Utica, Michigan, United States
Q: What is the best (easy) way to get rid of the grass growing in between the perennials (Shasta daisy, iris etc.)? It is very hard and time consuming to dig each blade out! Thank you!
A: You can use an herbicide called Roundup. Problem is it will kill any plant it touches, so you will need to use a small sponge brush or paint brush and paint the blades of grass. If you try to spray it the overspray or drift will damage or kill the perennials. Best to dig the perennials out in fall and divide them and remove the grass at that time.
