Q: how to select planting material for lettuce
A: Rashika, I am not quite clear as to what you are asking. If it is potting soil, I prefer 2 parts soiless potting mix ( I use Canadian sphagnum peat moss and perlite) to one part compost. A choir based potting mix would also work. I do not purchase potting soils with fertilizer in the mix as I am an organic gardener. I use a fish and kelp mix.Hope this helps, Best Nancy
