Question From: J. McGlinnen - Waterford Township, Michigan, United States
Q: Nancy: A loyal follower of your advice seeks guidance. My yard's ground temperature is 43 deg. And yet, I'm seeing Forsythia blooming, and it's snowing today! WHAT TO DO with the application of my first CRABICIDE/FERTILIZER application?.. With your last Sunday article in hand(When to hit the dirt...) I'm a bit confused. What do YOU say?
A: The soil should be at 50 degrees for crabgrass seeds to germinate. Check it at various areas around your yard. That's the bottom line. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
