Question From: J. Mosesso - Auburn Hills, Michigan, United States
Q: Nancy I am a regular reader of your column. This year you mentioned six plants repulsive to deer and I am eager to give at least a couple of them a try. I've gone out shopping with previous columns of yours and come home empty handed. My trips have been to Bordine's and Wojo's. Each time neither have every heard of the variety and often the plant itself that are mentioned in your column. I'd really appreciate knowing where I might purchase those mentioned in your current column; especially Allium Millennium, Bluestar Amsonia Storm Cloud, and finally Geranium Rozanne. Thank you.
A: Janice, Plants don't sell unless they are in bloom and these are summer bloomers. Hopefully you talked to the manager of the perennial department. I will send this on to folks at Wojo's. Be patient. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
Comment: Thanks, Nancy. I haven't headed out yet looking for them as I was awaiting your response. I'll get on it and call before I head out to Wojo's to see if they are in yet. Appreciate the help. I hate having a deer ravaged garden when my husband and I spend so much time and money on it. Janice
Response: I had great success with Plant Skydd deer repellant when I lived in the middle of deer country. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
