Q: re fiskars eco bin composter: can this bin and its contents be left outside over the winter? they will freeze. is this ok? will the frozen stuff result in leaf mold? can i place the bin on my existing(so-called) compost pile over the winter? THANKS NANCY LOVE YOUR COLUMN!

Mine will be left outside over the winter. Not sure about the placement on the compost pile. Mine will be tucked into a protected area till spring. Thanks for the kind words. Best, Nancy
