Question From: F. Netten - Pella, Iowa, United States
Q: The finches have stopped coming to our feeder why? We changed the seeds to make sure it's not moldy as we have had a lot rain. It's last of August are they heading to warmer climate? We are in Iowa near DesMoines.
A: The finches may have have decided to change their menu. Now is the time lots of plants go to seed, such as milkweed and thistle. A predator, such as a cat may have moved into the area and they have moved on. There are lots of reasons birds move around.
