Question From: P. LEHMAN - Magnolia, Ohio, United States
Q: My landscaper planted Astilbe in a area that gets 8 hours of full sun. The plants wilted and the stems turned brown even through I kept them watered. As they died the dead stems would just pull out. But new growth is coming out again. It's just now about 1/4 inch tall - it will frost in a month or two and the new growth will be done. Will these plants come out again next year?
A: Can's answer that Philip. Keep their soil damp and mulch them heavily which shredded leaves. In spring top dress with compost. Good Luck Nancy
