Question From: K. Burns - Burbank, California, United States
Q: Hello. I have 15 carolina cherry laurels planted in a row in just about full sun. I live in so cal {Burbank} so it tends to be hot. They appear to almost be dying after this very hot July and August. Any suggestions on what I should do to get them growing strong again. They are about 4' tall.
A: Keeping them well watered is key to keeping them alive. They require moist soil and you may have dropped the ball. Do not fertilize them them as that will only weaken them more. Take photos of the trees to a good garden center or nursery that sells these shrubs for more suggestions. I live in Michigan and have no experience with this trees. Good Luck Nancy
