Q: Planted marigold seeds (dwarf african white MG) 4 weeks ago; app half germinated and grew fine with dark green leaves, but other half , the leaves started turning yellow with end of many leaves starting to turn brown and curling up; also these plants appear to be stunted. All seeds were from same company (EdenBrothers in NC) and started in new containers. Any ideas and possible treatments and would you transplant the diseased plants into the garden?
A: Sounds like your seedlings have a fungal disease. Once stunted, plants do not thrive. I would destroy the infected plants. Fungal diseases are often caused by overhead watering. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
