Question From: Marietta, Georgia, United States
Q: Nancy Something is leaving a thimble sized amount of soft droppings on many of my zinnia leaves. There are also holes eaten in some leaves and particularly the new leaves around a new bud What could it be
A: You've got me stumped on this one. I suggest you get a flashlight and check out the flowers after dark. Holes in leaves are often caused by slugs and the thimble size droppings could be dead bodies. That would be my best guess. A product containing iron phosphate, such as SLUGGO - a slug bait that is non-poisonous and OMRI listed will take care of them.Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
