- This strong little shovel is 27" long with a blade 8" long by 6" wide - the perfect size for mixing soil in a wheelbarrow or digging while on your knees. Black & Decker manufactures a consistently decent line of tools, and this one is no exception. I only wish they'd use a different label stock and/or glue for the labels on the front and back of the blade: It took more acetone and time to remove those labels than it should. One star demerit for the annoyance.
